“Banyan Tree Ungasan, Bali, Indonesia”
Vacation can do you no wrong when you come to Bali, The Island of Gods (Yep, that’s what it means). Locating 70 meters above sea level, Banyan Tree Ungasan boasts its breath taking cliff top scenery as well as its solitude & tranquility of its private beach with pure white sand and turquoise water accessible to in house guests only (Looking for nice quiet beach? This is “the place to be”). Enable you to enjoy the best of both worlds (Cliff Top and Beach Front, Yeah!).
Upon arrival we received Balinese Welcome and Blessing Ceremony that started with grain of rice being put on your forehead(for cleansing your body), holy water (for purifying your soul and spirit), putting sacred flower on your ears (for prosperity). After checking in we were then being transported to our villa via golf car.
All accommodations are pool villa type only (Sweet!). You can literally wake up from your cozy big bed, walk literally only 3 steps, and you can jump right into the pool. (I joke you note! Life is good here). We stayed at Pool Villa Ocean View where we have the beautiful clear view of the ocean together with the lush green trees around the edge of the pool. The villa is very spacious (403 Square Meters with your personal 10 Meter Infinity Pool) and the design is being done in simple yet luxury fashion, a true sanctuary. Living up to its name “Banyan Tree”. You can see that for yourselves from our footages below.
Wait the best part about Banyan Tree Ungasan is the fact that you can see both of the stunning sunrise and sunset, the priceless daily moment that I truly treasure and adore (One of the best spots to do that is its main pool). When the clock ticks 13.00 PM it’s high tea time which is served by Tamarind restaurant (Authentic Balinese Cuisine, We have tasted the best Balinese food from here, do yourself a favor and get this delicious “Ayam Mekalas” – Stewed Chicken with Spied Coconut Sauce) as well as by the main pool. Of cause we choose to have ours by the pool. Ohh it tastes as delicious as how it looks. Everything tasted wonderful from the mini sandwiches to macaron to those cakes! Yum I ate them all. This is a not to be missed experience. High tea is also available at Jumana (Banyan Tree Ungasan Fine Dining French/ Japanese Restaurant which means “The White Pearl” in English) located on the top of the cliff facing directly to the direction of the sunset. Unfortunately during our stay Jumana was closed for the private events. We definitely have to come back to Banyan Tree Ungasan for our future stay and yes for Jumana as well.
