Viceroy: Valley for Kings and Queens

Bali, a surreal tropical state of mind. Get ready to pamper yourself with a fantasy within a reality. A place where free gypsy spirits and authentic sense of luxury perfectly blended and merged into one. Located in “Valley of Kings”, Viceroy is nothing short of a hidden private paradise making us feeling like true King and Queen of the Valley. The sight of lush green forest stretches as far as your eyes allow it. Wanting to arrive in style at this sanctuary of serenity? No problem, Viceroy’s private on-site helipad is here to serve you. Undoubtedly, Viceroy is the best of Ubud has to offer and the ultimate sweet spot is none other than our “Viceroy Villa” or “The Presidential Villa”, The Crowd Jewel and one of its kind. If you are ready for a check-in, follow us, this way!

A place where Balinese royalty once made their homes here, Viceroy is a perfect place for those seeking vital privacy, seclusion, and extravagance. With only 25 all-thatch-roofed-luxurious-private-infinity-pool-villas that all come with one of the most iconic stunning panoramic views of Bali, endless rice paddy fields. Undoubtedly, attention to each and every guest is treated as the highest priority. The show stopper is main infinity pool. We thought we had walked into a page of high profile travel magazine, so surreal. This exclusive on the top of the world swim-up bar-infinity pool is overlooking the beautiful nature of the misty valley of Kings and Petanu River while having the rice paddy field and dense tropical jungle as your backdrop. This is where we have our daily dose of the mouth-watering “Belgian Waffle” as main course for breakfast in our white gazebo next to the infinity pool, followed up by daily dose of the skinny dimming into the pool to cool off and start your day fresh.

What a romantic retreat this place is, we are blending in perfectly with our love birds who also chose Viceroy for their perfect getaway. The most romantic of it all is nothing but our 400-sqaure-meter Presidential Suite Villa, The “Viceroy Pool Villa”. After checking in our butler escorted us to our Viceroy Pool Villa in this golf car kitted out with GPS system which smoothly took us up and down through these steep lanes. Upon arrival our jaws dropped, the villa looked even better in real life than it did in the photo. The opulent villa comes with 2 spacious en-suite bedrooms which are separated by the huge open-air living room and dining area, comfortably fitting for even 6 guests. The private 15 meters pool and private garden run parallel to the master bedroom, the living room, and the second bedroom. The villa is showcasing the dewy thick forest of Petanu River gorge and mount Batur volcano views from all directions. It is designed with luxurious modern comfort and a fine touch of Balinese heritage. Viceroy Pool Villa features king-size grand beds, mahogany furniture, extra large marble bathroom with dedicated sections for Mr. and Mrs., private outdoor heated pool, private garden with sundeck and cabana, Balinese pavilion overlooking the dramatic view onto the wildness.

The full experience can not be completed without fine dining at CasCades, ranked as one of Bali’s top fine dining venues. This French Contemporary Cuisine Restaurant is extraordinary as each dish is tinged by exotic Asian flavor, the view from the restaurant is nothing short of spectacular. Upon our departure, we have already miss this Ubud Dream Fantasy. What a perfect blend of a secluded luxury resort tucked away into the wild but still within the proximity of the bustle of the lively Ubud city center and the art market. Undeniably, Viceroy is the place to be.
