Je t’aime, Mandarin Oriental Paris!

Fontaine des Fleuves, Place de la Condorde

With long history in perfection of attention to details, world class service (you can expect to be addressed by name at every turn starting from the doorman at the entrance to chefs at restaurants and all the way to the hotel management), and authentic oriental influenced ambiance of “Your chic home away from home”, our high expectation is always met and even overachieved at Mandarin Oriental. That is what we have chosen to stay at Mandarin Oriental Paris during our Easter Holiday in Paris. Mandarin Oriental never fails to surprise us, they spent 5 years just searching for the perfect location in this Magnifique French Capital “Paris”. Located on Rue Saint-Honoré of the first arrondissement, one of the most prestigious areas and most luxurious shopping streets in Paris. Mandarin Oriental is standing tall shoulder to shoulder with luxurious designer boutiques including Christian Dior, Chanel, Hermes, Balenciaga, and the magnificent Graff, just to name a few. Le Lourve, Le Jardin des Tuileries, Place Vendôme, and Opera Garnier are only few steps away. If you are ready to check in to the Haute Couture Holiday Runaway Heaven of pure elegance and understated luxury at the very heart of Paris, come with me. This way.

“Welcome to your Parisian home, Mr. & Mrs. Gouret”, we were warmly greeted by all personals at Mandarin Oriental Paris. Quickly followed by glasses of “Louis Roederer” Champagne and extra delicious sweets. Check in process went swiftly and smoothly within 5 minutes. The entire staff crew really went above and beyond to make us feel at home and our happiness is their top priority. A thoughtful early check in, complimentary easter treats & goodies, and flexible options for breakfast whether at Camelia, in room dining, or breakfast to go (perfectly and beautifully packed in matching fashionable Mandarin Oriental Paris haute gourmet bags and wrappings). Just giving some examples :))

Occupying the former Palais de Justice, the 1930 Art Deco Building. It took Mandarin Oriental Paris another 4 years to transform the building into what it is today. Virtually stunning at every turn, the style is modern-minimal luxury, the vibe of less is more, with the iconic butterfly, feminine berry shades of pink and purple, and soft grey silk running consistently throughout the hotel interior design.  High ceilings with floor to ceiling glass, spacious and airy atmosphere, contemporary sleek white walls, marble floors, and serene central courtyard with lush green trees. Asian elements are also beautifully paired with Parisian touches. The spacious rooms and suites boast splendid view, stunning bathroom, and latest technology. Guests are fully equipped with haute couture selection of good night sleep pillow, Bang & Olufsen Technology, IT kit (which I absolutely love and believe to be essential), and 24/7 services (with Penthouse Category you have private entrance & personal butler dedicated specially just for you! Yes! Wow! Big YES you can catch a glimpse of the marvelous Eiffel Tower from you bedroom, bathroom, and balcony Life is so perfect here!). For other suite categories truly worth mentioning are; Duplex suite offers truly Parisian apartment atmosphere boasting an amazing rooftop view of Paris and a big YES you can catch a glimpse of the marvelous Eiffel Tower from your bedroom. Panoramic Suite also features stunning rooftop view and Eiffel Tower from your spacious terrace. Of cause the best of the best is nothing else but “The Penthouse” and there are two of them. One with huge living area (perfect for winter time) and another with huge terrace (perfect for the summer), but the star of the show is really the bathroom where a huge Jacuzzi made comfortably for two sitting next to the wall-to-wall-window with a clear city view of Paris and Eiffel Tower. I really don’t mind sleeping here all night.MO Paris Review 07 (1 of 1)Tour Eiffel, ParisIMG_7753MO Paris Review 02 (1 of 1)MO Paris Review 10 (1 of 1)

Besides the wide section of breakfast option (at the restaurant / in-room dining / to go), Mandarin Oriental Paris also has wide selections of freshly made bakery and sweets, freshly squeezed fruit juice & smoothies and custom made hot plates. It is crucial for me to have my fruit juice super fresh and here at Mandarin Oriental Paris there are many choices to choose from. This got me hooked. For daily breakfast I always go for fresh fruit juice and hot plates. I highly recommend you to go for smoothies for the day, Egg Benedict with salmon, French toast with freshly baked apple, and Parisian Crepes. Foodies can also enjoy the sensational gourmet experience at the two Michelin stars restaurant “Sur Mesure Par Thierry Marx”.
